Hands Of Healing

Healing for the tired or stressed body

The traditional Swedish Massage technique is designed to relax the entire body using long gliding and connecting strokes to improve circulation, decrease muscle toxins, and ease tension.

Healing for the dysfunctional or restricted body

Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular Therapy is a thorough assessment technique usually incorporated into Deep Tissue work. During the session, issues such as: trigger points, ischemia, neural entrapment/compression, dysfunctional posture or gait, and many other factors will be examined, discussed, and treated with highly therapeutic massage, stretching, and customized release techniques.

Broken down, myo (muscle tissue) & fascia (connective tissue in & around), myofascia is the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints. Myofascial release works to reduce skeletal muscle immobility. This gentle-pressured technique uses slow dragging across the skin to improve lymphatic circulation and help restore motion.

Healing for the tight or painful body

Deep Tissue bodywork aims to combat and reduce chronic muscle tension by accessing the deep layers of muscle tissue. Deep Tissue massage reduces stress hormone levels and heart rate, while boosting mood and relaxation hormone levels.

Healing for the active or athletic body

Sports massage is geared towards every type of athlete and is specific to the athlete’s sport of choice. From weekend hiking or jogging, to intense Cross-Fit or Triathlons, sports Massage focuses on the areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements.

Healing for the expecting or new Mama body

Prenatal massage can be a wonderful complement during or after pregnancy by easing backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling). Prenatal massage can also reduce stress on weight-bearing joints, encourage blood and lymph circulation, help to relax nervous tension (which aids in better sleep), and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes. Side-lying positioning is used for 2nd & 3rd Trimesters and includes supportive, soft-cushioning to promote proper body mechanics and ultimate comfort.

I’ve had many massages over the years and none has come close to the work Ainslee does. Her skill and knowledge are incredible. I’ve benefited from massage therapy while pregnant, postpartum, for sore muscles after work-outs and when I simply need to relax and rejuvenate. Seeing someone who really knows what they are doing, like Ainslee, makes experience worlds better every time!
